Benefícios das Intervenções Assistidas por Animais para estudantes com alteração de linguagem verbal / Benefits of Animal Assisted Intervention for students with verbal language disorders / Los Beneficios de las Intervenciones Asistidas por Animales para estudiantes con trastornos del lenguaje verbal

Introdução: As Intervenções Assistidas por Animais- IAA- com a mediação de cães compreendem atividades com fins terapêuticos e/ou educacionais, nas quais o cachorro é o principal mediador. Objetivo: Apresentar e analisar os resultados parciais das atividades desenvolvidas em um Projeto de Pesquisa e de Extensão, realizado no Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina- CA/UFSC, evidenciando os benefícios das IAA com a mediação de cães, no processo de desenvolvimento e aprendizagem, sobretudo da linguagem verbal (fala, leitura e escrita) para os estudantes participantes. Método: Seguiu-se a abordagem qualitativa da pesquisa e realizou-se a Análise de Conteúdo¹ dos registros em diário de campo das atividades desenvolvidas. Resultados: São apresentados os resultados de três ações realizadas no projeto durante o primeiro semestre de 2019. A análise dessas atividades demonstrou que foram favorecidas as habilidades relacionadas à linguagem verbal dos estudantes. Conclusão: Considera-se que no decorrer do projeto, os participantes das IAA com a mediação de cães vêm demonstrando melhora nas aprendizagens, bem como aperfeiçoamento nas habilidades de fala, leitura e escrita.

Introduction: The Animal Assisted Intervention with the mediation of dogs comprises activities for therapeutic and / or educational purposes, in which the dog is the main mediator. Objective: To present and analyze the partial results of the activities developed in a Research and Extension Project, carried out at the Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina- CA/UFSC, showing the benefits of Animal Assisted Intervention with the mediation of dogs in the process of development and learning, especially of the verbal language (speaking, reading and writing) for participating students. Method: The qualitative research approach was followed and Content Analysis¹ was carried out on the records in the daily field of the activities developed. Results: The results of three actions carried out in the project during the first semester of 2019 are presented. The analysis of these activities showed that the students' verbal language skills were instigated. Conclusion: It is considered that during the project, the participants of Animal Assisted Intervention with the mediation of dogs have been showing improvement in learning, as well as improvement in speaking, reading and writing skills.

Introducción: Las intervenciones asistidas por animales con la mediación de perros comprende actividades con fines terapéuticos y / o educativos, en las que el perro es el principal mediador. Objetivo: Presentar y analizar los resultados parciales de las actividades desarrolladas en un Proyecto de Investigación y Extensión, realizado en el Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina- CA/UFSC, mostrando los beneficios de las intervenciones asistidas por animales con la mediación de perros en el proceso de desarrollo y aprendizaje, especialmente del lenguaje verbal (hablar, leer y escribir) para los estudiantes participantes. Método: Se siguió el enfoque de investigación cualitativa y se realizó el Análisis de Contenido Content de los registros en el campo diario de las actividades desarrolladas. Resultados: Se presentan los resultados de tres acciones llevadas a cabo en el proyecto durante el primer semestre de 2019. El análisis de estas actividades mostró que las habilidades del lenguaje verbal de los estudiantes fueron instigadas. Conclusión: Se considera que durante el proyecto, los participantes de las intervenciones asistidas por animales con la mediación de perros han ido mostrando una mejora en el aprendizaje, así como una mejora en las habilidades de expresión oral, lectura y escritura.

Characteristics of patients with language disorders and the theory of multiple intelligences / Características dos pacientes com alteração de linguagem e teoria das inteligências múltiplas

ABSTRACT Purpose: to investigate which intelligence, described in the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, favors the development of language (linguistic intelligence) of the patients, in relation to the studied variables: development phase (children and adolescents), sex and preferential intelligences. Methods: the quantitative-qualitative approach was used, with the identification by content analysis of the preferred intelligences of the 107 patients participating in the investigation and the intelligences contemplated in each therapy. After the coding of these data in numbers, the results obtained in the 1,802 therapies analyzed were compared with the development phase, sex and preferential intelligences, using a statistical test. Results: in the analysis of the data, it was evidenced that the results obtained in the therapy differ between children and adolescents, according to the intelligences contemplated, which is also observed when considering females and males, but to a lesser extent. Conclusion: it is important to observe the characteristics of age, sex and preferential intelligences, in relation to the contemplation of the different intelligences in the activities developed in the therapy, with a view to the qualification of the results.

RESUMO Objetivo: investigar qual(is) inteligência(s), descrita(s) na Teoria das Inteligências Múltiplas, favorece(m) mais o desenvolvimento da linguagem (inteligência linguística) dos pacientes, em relação às variáveis estudadas: fase do desenvolvimento (crianças e adolescentes), sexo e inteligência(s) preferencial(is). Métodos: utilizou-se a abordagem quanti-qualitativa, com a identificação pela análise de conteúdo da(s) inteligência(s) preferencial(is) dos 107 pacientes participantes da investigação e da(s) inteligência(s) contemplada(s) em cada terapia. Após a codificação destes dados em números, foi realizada a comparação, via teste estatístico, dos resultados obtidos nas 1802 terapias analisadas, quanto à fase do desenvolvimento, sexo e inteligência(s) preferencial(is). Resultados: na análise dos dados se evidenciou que os resultados obtidos na terapia diferem entre crianças e adolescentes, de acordo com a(s) inteligência(s) contemplada(s), o que também é observado, ao se considerar os sexos feminino e masculino, porém em menor proporção. Conclusão: é importante observar as características idade, sexo e inteligência(s) preferencial(is) dos pacientes, em relação à contemplação das diferentes inteligências nas atividades desenvolvidas na terapia, com vistas à qualificação dos resultados.

Terapia fonoaudiológica de linguagem e teoria das inteligências múltiplas: investigação em prontuários / Therapy language and theory of multiple intelligences: research in records

Resumo:OBJETIVO:investigar as evoluções linguísticas de pacientes com alteração de linguagem, com foco sobre a(s) área(s) de interesse acessada(s) na terapia fonoaudiológica, compreendidas a partir da Teoria das Inteligências Múltiplas.MÉTODOS:esta pesquisa configura-se como quanti-qualitativa. Foram investigadas 562 evoluções terapêuticas de 41 prontuários de pacientes atendidos no Setor de Linguagem, de um Serviço Fonoaudiológico vinculado a uma universidade federal do Brasil, tendo sido realizados dois tipos de análise dos dados: análise de conteúdo, por meio da organização de categorias de análise para interpretação dos dados e, análise estatística, com aplicação do Teste Qui-quadrado .RESULTADO:tanto na análise estatística dos dados, quanto na análise de conteúdo, ficou evidente que, quanto mais as estratégias terapêuticas contemplassem a(s) área(s) de interesse do paciente em terapia, melhor era o seu desempenho na linguagem verbal/inteligência linguística, foco da intervenção fonoaudiológica.CONCLUSÃO:ao se acessar outras área(s) de interesse, relacionadas as inteligências múltiplas, pode-se promover um maior desenvolvimento da linguagem verbal/ inteligência linguística dos pacientes que apresentam um déficit ou alteração na mesma.

Abstract:PURPOSE:to investigate the linguistic evolutions of patients with language disorders, with a focus on the area (s) (s) of interest accessed (s) in speech therapy, ranging from the Theory of Multiple Intelligences.METHODS:this research appears as quantitative and qualitative. The 562 therapeutic developments of 41 records of patients treated at the Department of Language, Speech and Hearing a service linked to a federal university of Brazil were investigated, two types of data analysis were conducted: content analysis through the organization of categories of analysis to data interpretation and, statistical analysis, with application of Chi-square test.RESULT:both the statistical analysis of the data, as the content analysis, it became evident that the more therapeutic strategies beheld (s) area (s) of interest of the patient in therapy, it was his best performance in verbal language/intelligence linguistic focus of language intervention.CONCLUSION:when accessing other area (s) of interest related to multiple intelligences, can promote further development of verbal language/linguistic intelligence of patients with a deficit or alteration in it.
